Mr D slipped in the shower this morning trying to rescue a spider.  He said he didn't see it when he started showering, but he turned round to see it struggling up the side of the bathtub trying to get away from the water and he felt sorry for it.

His good deed didn't end well!

Well, since getting back from Paris on Monday, I have been knocked sideways by the cold from hell.  It appears these French germs were determined to rough me up a little; maybe they were pissed off at me becuse of Brexit, or Waterloo, maybe ... who knows?  All I do know is that this is by far the worst cold I'd had for many a year.  It's tailing ( Read more... )

It was 28 years ago today that Mr D and I tied the knot.  I've no clue where 28 years went, but I do know I'm glad I spent them with Mr D!

Following on from the saga of the bloody heron who decimated our pond and ate our poor fish last year, we decided that as Mr D rebuilt the pond last month, it was time to restock over the jubilee holiday weekend ( Read more... )

Last August, a heron visited us, and decimated our little pond.

Not only did the feathery bastard eat all our poor fish (who had been part of our life for eight years), but to add insult to injury, he also punctured the pond lining. 😡  We just didn't have the heart to do anything with it then, so we just left it empty and derelict over the winter. Apparently it was TV night for Mr D and the buns last week while I was out with a friend.  Accordng to Mr D, they like Blakes 7 and War Films.

Personally, I think it's Nutmeg that likes Blakes 7.  Juniper looks like she's more interested in eating Mr D's jeans!

I went over to the Isle of Wight this weekend for a wet and windy visit to my parents, and I left Mr D in charge of the bunnies.

It appears that while Juniper was busy foraging around the room for anything vaguely edible, Mr D and Nutmeg settled in for a boys' night in front of the TV.
